Capri. Fremantle. Since 1954.
Four generations of the Pizzale family, one kitchen on South Terrace.
The menu has changed over seventy years. Some dishes never left.
Complimentary Capri Soup
Served with crusty bread before every meal. A Fremantle tradition since the boarding house days.
Chicken and Spaghetti
One of the original favourites from the 1950s. Still made the same way.
Scallopini
Thin, tender cutlets in lemon butter. A classic that needs no introduction.
Fried Squid
The most tender squid in Fremantle. Light batter, quick fry, lemon on the side.
In 1954, Oddone Pizzale bought a boarding house restaurant on South Terrace.
His wife Genuina cooked. Their son Corrado and his wife Maria took over in 1966. Maria ran the floor. Corrado ran the kitchen. Now their children are at the helm, and the fourth generation is learning the ropes.
Fremantle has changed. The Capri has not.
